Notes
STORING LEFTOVERS: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 4 months.
Prep tips: If you don’t have a powerful blender, swap oats for oatmeal and combine everything in a bowl.
Allergies: For a dairy-free version: Swap milk with coconut, oat or soy milk. For a gluten-free version: Swap oats with quinoa flakes. For an egg-free version: Swap egg for a store-bought egg replacer or use a flax egg (1 egg = 1 tbsp flaxseed meal + 3 tbsp water) or chia egg (1 egg = 1 tbsp chia seed meal + 3 tbsp water).
Easy ingredient swaps: Swap choc chips for blueberries, sultanas or dried and fresh fruit of choice.
Additional boosters: Boost by adding a tsp chia seeds to the mix. Add vegetable or fruit puree instead of the banana.
Baby-friendly version: Leave out maple syrup, swap choc chips for sultanas and serve mashed or in finger food-sized pieces.
